Nordica Warehouses at Foundation Park – Sioux Falls, SD

Located within Foundation Park in NW Sioux Falls, these two buildings total over 500,000SF. The total project to date was completed in three phases. Our company is uniquely equipped to build a project of this scale. Our EFCO gang form system enables us to pour up to 200LF of foundation wall per day. To speed up the concrete floor poor and improve flatness, we designed and built a steel leave-in-place slab forming system. This system has the ability to be adjusted for height while the slab is being finished. This helps us to create precision flatness. These forms, combined with our Ligchine Boss 240 laser screed, make it possible to pour up to 30,000SF in a 10hr work day. This project in particular won recognition for excellence and innovation at the 2020 SDRMCA Awards (SDRMCA Website).
As the largest metal building erector in the tri-state area, we are also uniquely equipped to erect a building of this scale quickly. If needed, we are able to use up to 3 cranes for erection of the primary and secondary structural members. We’ve also built several metal carts to ferry our insulation system on top of the roof which greatly speeds up the roofing process. These carts were designed internally, and are able to ride on the seams of the standing seam roof panels, similar to a train on train tracks. These methods of erecting pre-engineered buildings are almost unheard of in our industry. They have been developed internally over several decades and hundreds of buildings. These methods, combined with our awesome team, enable us to erect buildings sometimes 2-3 times faster than our competition. Though we always strive for efficiency and speed, our experienced team is still very meticulous while framing, insulating, and installing sheet metal work. Our customers can rest easy knowing that they have a great looking building, that is insulated thoroughly and sealed up tight.
